L’espace du livre: THE PUBLICATION AS OBJECTIVE

Rencontres and Pratiques et Usages de l’Image (Nantes, France) presented, in 2021, the 2nd edition of “L’espace du livre.” On the theme “L’édition comme finalité” (The Publication as Objective), this project on the subject of the photobook, which included an exhibition and get-togethers, was held in France, in the Gaspé and in Montreal in 2021.

At the same time as the roundtable on the photographic book that took place at Maison de la culture Janine-Sutto in Montreal in the fall of 2021 as part of the project, Rencontres asked director Émilie B. Guérette to provide a forum for four participating Québec photographers on the subject of the publication as objective.

Thus, Geneviève Thibault (Matane, Québec), Judith Bellavance, Serge Clément and Bertrand Carrière (Montreal, Québec) tackle the subject in the videos that follow.
