Retomada<\/em> documents the movement to reclaim ancestral lands<\/strong> led by the Guarani<\/strong> Indigenous people in Brazil. Rooted in a long history<\/strong> of resistance, their struggle faces systemic violence<\/strong>: police forces aligned with agribusiness interests, private militias\u2026 The Guarani describe it as a \u201cslow genocide<\/strong>.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Renaud Philippe<\/strong> (born 1984), a documentary photographer based in Qu\u00e9bec City<\/strong>, has been working independently since 2006. A regular contributor to The New York Times<\/em>, he explores the impact of wars and climate crises on civilian populations.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
