There are only about 10 days left in this 7th edition of Rencontres. While most exhibits and installations close on October 3, certain ones will be taken down earlier out of respect for our partners’ schedules. Some will return to their homes abroad, or head off to Montreal for a second life!
EXTENSIONS
The exhibit Emmy’s World by Dutch artist Hanne van der Woude, which was to end on September 15, will be extended until the 25th. It will be moved to the outdoor site of the Dolbel-Roberts house (still on the Grande-Grave heritage site, in Forillon National Park) in order to be visible on the occasion of the first edition of the Ultra-Trail du Bout du monde, on September 23 and 24.
Journal de la Stone (1965-2015), New Richmond, QC, by Guillaume D. Cyr, a native of the Gaspé, which was to wind up on September 15, will remain at Carrefour Baie-des-Chaleurs in New Richmond until October 3.
The photo series Rojekê, One Day, by filmmaker Zaynê Akyol, presented in Caplan until October 3, will travel to Montreal, where it will back the showing of her film Gulîstan, Land of Roses, featured at the Montreal International Documentary Festival from November 10 to 20, 2016.
Currently being staged at Percé, the exhibit + – 49° 29’ by Laurent Mulot (Lyons, France) will be on display at Joyce Yahouda Gallery in Montreal later this fall. The dates will be announced shortly.
REMINDERS
Isabelle Hayeur’s exhibit République and the screening of three short films by Serge Clément at the Centre d’artistes Vaste et Vague will end on September 23. Hurry up and enjoy!
The exhibit The Photographic Book, in the Foyer Hydro-Québec at Quai des arts in Carleton-sur-Mer, and the collective exhibit by members of the Centre d’artistes Vaste et Vague installed on the outdoor columns of Quai des arts, will finish as scheduled on September 30. The 48 books that make up the exhibition on the photo book will then be turned over free of charge to the Gabrielle-Bernard-Dubé library in Carleton-sur-Mer to enrich the collection there.
The exhibit Floating by German artist Corinna Mehl, staged in the parking lot of the tourist information office in New Richmond, was taken down on September 20.
